Bang, Reiss win at Bismarck, New Salem rodeos

Karly Bang concluded a busy weekend of rodeo action with a victory for the Killdeer Rodeo Club.

Riley Reiss started the hectic weekend with a victory.

Bang won the girls cow cutting competiton on May 14 at the New Salem Rodeo, which was one of six events that she placed in the two rodeos over this past weekend.

She also placed third in barrel racing at the New Salem rodeo.

At the Bismarck rodeo on May 13, she placed in three events. She was ninth in girls cow cutting and breakaway roping and eighth in barrel racing and ninth in goat tying.

Reiss also placed in four events over the weekend.

At the Bismarck rode, Reiss was first place in team roping and placed seventh in steer wrestling.

The next day, Reiss placed second in steer wrestling and third in team roping.

Other Killdeer club members placing at Bismarck included: Rope Smith (second in team roping); Ty Truchan and Tommay Hall (third in team roping); Daylon Danks (sixth in team roping); Mason Bice (seventh in tie-down roping, and eighth in team roping); and Bridgette Reiss (10th in breakaway roping).

At the New Salem rodeo, other Killdeer club placers included: Truchan and Hall (seventh in team roping); Smith (ninth in team roping); and Garret LeMieux (fifth in tie-down roping).
