Bids to complete the High Plains Cultural Center were opened on Dec. 5, 2013 at the meeting room at the Dunn County offices in Manning.

The low bid of $1,117,831 was submitted by MAC (Mid American Construction). The contract was awarded to MAC on Dec. 6, and will cover electrical, plumbing and general construction for the interior of the High Plains Cultural Center. Fixtures and equipment, heating/cooling, fire suppression and parking lot remain to be negotiated. Donations continue to be sought to assure a completion date of May 2014.
