Call To Artists and Creatives!Posted 11/29/13

With the High Plains Cultural Center nearing completion and other exciting new venues in development, now is the time for western edge artists of all genres to consider the benefits of organizing to collaborate and make the most of the opportunities available or to create new ones.

Group marketing and purchasing power, public funding, venues for exhibitions and performance, as well as private events and commissions are just a few of the possibilities.

Let’s get some classes going! Got stuff to trade?

Soon, a quarterly arts publication will debut on the western edge, featuring the art, artists, cultural and entertainment venues of the region in a news magazine format.

Strong art communities are built by the creatives of the community! Quilters and Crafters, this means you! Whether you are a working artist or hobbyist, whatever your medium… please join your creative community.

Help a kid have a Christmas

As we all know Christmas is right around the corner.

There are many families in the area that cannot afford Christmas gifts for their children.

“Christmas for Kids” is working to make sure that as many children as possible will have presents under their tree.

If you would be interested in making a monetary donation, your contributions can be mailed to Dunn County Social Services “Christmas for Kids” PO Box 89, Killdeer, ND 58640.

Thank you for helping make Christmas special for a child this year, who otherwise may not get a gift. If you have any questions feel free to call Dunn County Social Services at 701-764-5385 or 1-888-674-6490.
