Buck contest held Jan. 13 at Buckskin

The Killdeer buck contest will be held this Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Buckskin Bar and Grill with a measuring competition and prizes.
The measuring will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and awards will start at 7 p.m.

Auction items include guns, a bow and other items. The proceeds will go to the Hilltop Home of Comfort and are going to be matched by an anonymous donor.
There will be a free will offering for donations to Hilltop. In addition to proceeds going to Hilltop, there will also be funds raised for Krew Kleeman, the newborn son of Killdeer high school principal Karter Kleeman.
“No better places for the money to go, a little boy and older people,” Wendell Vigen said.
Prizes for first through fifth place winners will start at $250. There will be a special prize of $50 of fuel from Cenex and Benz Oli Company for the two biggest Dunn County bucks. The general public will have chance to win door prizes.
