Given the abnormally dry, hot drought conditions in the County at present, the Board of Dunn County Commissioners have declared a fire emergency and have banned all open burning in Dunn County until further notice.
Posted Sept. 7, 2012
This ban is intended to help protect the well-being and safety of Dunn County citizens and to prevent the unnecessary taxing of local emergency response services. Any individual who violates the burn ban will be subject to a $500 fine. A second violation would constitute a Class B Misdemeanor charge with a $1000 fine and up to 30 days in jail.
