Continental spills oil into Dunn Co. stockpond

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has been notified of a loss of six to ten barrels of oil from a well pad owned by Continental Resources.

The oil reached a stock pond near the well pad. The spill is located approximately 14 miles northwest of Killdeer. The owner of the stock pond has been notified of the spill.

Continental Resources has begun clean-up and is working on a remediation plan with a state inspector, who is on site.
