Cowboy wrestlers start season with good showing

The Killdeer Cowboy Wrestling Team started their 2013-2104 season by traveling to Sidney Montana on December 6 and 7.

The tournament started out with Round Robin Duals and in the end the Killdeer Cowboys ended up coming in 6th place. Day two of the tournament consisted of Individual weight class matches. Killdeer Cowboys wrestled hard and in the end Dillon Jepson brought home a 1st place in the 160# weight class, Dylan Tabor took 2nd in the 98# weight class and Derek Tabor placed 2nd in the 145# weight class. David Dukart brought home 3rd place in the 220# weight class, Tanner Rohde took 4th place in the 132# weight class and Dane Larsen also took 4th place in the 152# weight class. Cole Dukart placed 6th in the 126# weight class and Daniel Arthur also took 6th place in the 170# weight class. Rounding out the Killdeer Cowboy Wrestling team was David Arthur at 138#, Rope Smith at 132# and Brady Pletan at 170#. The Wrestling team placed 6th overall in the final standings at the tournament. The Killdeer Cowboys will be traveling to Bowman on Saturday Dec. 14, to wrestle at the Bowman Rotary Tournament starting at 10 a.m. Best of Luck to the Cowboys on Saturday.
