The Killdeer Cowboys basketball teams won three big games last week, putting on an impressive show for local fans.Posted 1/31/14

The Cowboy girls team played Richardton-Taylor last Thursday night, winning 52-40.
The Cowboys held a 16-8 lead after the first quarter, and a 29-21 lead at halftime. They outscored the Raider girls 16-10 in the third quarter, with the winning score 52-40
High scorers for the Cowboy girls were Jessica Starr with 13 points and Morgan LeMieux with 12. Cody Schaper and Morgan LeMieux each had eight rebounds.
In a Friday night game on Jan. 24, the Cowboys boys basketball team played Glen-Ullin-Hebron, winning 61-45.
The Cowboys were hot early, outscoring the Bobcats 20-8 in the first quarter, but were held to just seven points in the second. They led at halftime 27-19. They came out hot again, scoring 23 in the third quarter while holding the Bobcats to just 10 points. Final score was 61-45.
High scorers for the Cowboys were Trenton Rohr with 13 points, Cody Johnson with 11 points Hayes LeMieux with 11 points and Lewis Dobitz with 11 points.
Tuff Kling had 9 rebounds, Lewis Dobitz had 7 and Hayes Lemieux had 6 rebounds.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Cowboy boys basketball team played Beach.
The Cowboys started slow, being outscored 20-15 in the first quarter, going into the halftime behind 28-25. They came out hot after halftime, outscoring the Buccaneers 13-7 in the third quarter and 19-5 in the fourth.
Final score: Cowboys 57 – 40 over the Buccaneers.
Hayes LeMieux scored 19 for the Cowboys and Lewis Dobitz put in 13. LeMieux also grabbed 8 rebounds.
