Cowboys run over Blue Jays 59-38

The Killdeer Cowboys boys basketball team came out hot last Saturday, scoring 20 points and holding the Stanley Blue Jays to just four points in the first quarter, leading to a 59-38 win for the Cowboys.

The Killdeer Cowboys boys basketball team came out hot last Saturday, scoring 20 points and holding the Stanley Blue Jays to just four points in the first quarter, leading to a 59-38 win for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys kept up the pressure in the second quarter, holding a 40-14 lead at the half and a 52-20 lead at the third quarter.

Trenton Rohr and Lewis Dobitz each scored 12 points in the win, while Hayes LeMieux and Calum Blankenship each added eight points. Cody Johnson and Sean Tuhy each scored four points and Tuff Kling, Bubba Roshau scored three points, and Zeb Doe, Daniel Ames and Alex Sadowsky each put in two points.

Hayes LeMieux grabbed six rebounds for the Cowboys, Cody Johnson and Bubba Roshau each grabbed five, Tuff Kling, Sean Tuhy and Calum Blankenship grabbed three apiece, Dylan Schmelling grabbed two and Zeb Doe grabbed one rebound in a well spread team effort.

Bubba Roshau was 1-1 from the three-point line.
