Dunn County Sheriff Clay Coker is pleased to announce the addition of two new deputies to the department; Fred Whittingham and Daniel Halonen.
Whittingham began on August 11th and comes to the department from Alaska. He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Law Enforcement Academy. Whittingham is a 9 year law enforcement veteran and was formerly employed with the Whittier, Alaska Police Department. Halonen began on August 20th and comes to the area from Minnesota. He is a graduate of Hennepin Technical College Law Enforcement Education Center in Minnesota. Halonen was formerly employed with the Menahga, Minnesota and Verndale, Minnesota Police Departments. He was most recently employed with the Killdeer Police Department. Both Whittingham and Halonen are currently going through the department’s Field Training and Evaluation Program.
