Josh Andersen wanted to set up a “one-stop” shop for people wanting to remodel their homes. Mission accomplished. Elite Cabinets & Design offers such a service.
“We’ve been wanting to do this since I started (in construction) 16 years ago,” said Andersen, the owner of Killdeer’s newest business.
Elite Cabinets & Design is located at 10317 Highway 200. It offers an extensive showroom that has something for just about any genre whether you into modern, classic, or rustic. It features kitchen and bathroom cabinets and counters, a variety of flooring and tiles, and hundreds of incidentals like hinges, handles, holders and knobs.
“If we don’t have it, we’ll get it for you,” said Andersen.
Elite Cabinets & Design is owned by Andersen and managed by Luderman. The duo has worked together several years in Killdeer before breaking off to start the company.
Together, they have 40 years of experience in the construction business. Luderman has been in the field for 24 years and Andersen 14 years.
Andersen grew up in Bowman and always had a knack for building things. After a two-year stint at North Dakota State University, he went to work for a construction company in Bowman for three years. He moved to Killdeer in 2003 and started his own construction business. He did a lot of contractor work and he hired Luderman to join the team.
Luderman started in the field in 1997 building laminate counter tops in Seattle. After 13 years, he moved to Wyoming and worked construction there, before moving to Killdeer to work Andersen.
“We know what we’re doing,” Luderman said. “One of the main things we can offer is we do everything from start to finish.”
Customers can come into Elite Cabinets and order what they need and Andersen’s team will build it. The advantage is Elite Cabinets has a large inventory of the supplies on hand, so customers don’t have to order from another company.
And, if there is something they’d don’t have in stock, Elite will order it themselves so the customer avoids the middle man, Andersen said.
Elite Cabinets & Design is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays or by appointment.
