The office of the States Attorney has acquired life-long Manning native Jacqueline Sickler, age 26, as their full-time Administrative Assistant and Victim-Witness Coordinator in the Killdeer Office. Sickler has her Associates Degree in Applied Science & Office Administration from Dickinson State University. “It was a real eye opener when I first started back in November”, she said with her warm smile, “I enjoy the work very much now. The best part is being more a part of the community”.
Also, the office’s Victim-Witness Coordinator, Miss Sickler says, “I like helping people and working with victims, though, it’s often very sad.” Sickler replaces long-serving, part-time secretaries Linda Reems and her assistant Karen Boehm who retired last Fall. Much appreciation to the Dunn County Commissioners who approved this position as a full-time slot for budget year 2015. ASA Pat Merriman was very pleased with the announcement, “It’s a tough job covering all of the court cases with just Ross and I, and, Jackie makes it much easier by dealing with the day-to-day pleadings, telephone calls and last-minute issues which always seem to crop up.” Merriman and Sickler have been dubbed the Beauty & the Beast but, Pat has groused, “I’m not really all that good looking.” Just kidding and, congratulations Jackie!
