Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) presented a $5,000 check to the City of Killdeer to purchase outdoor play equipment for the city operated daycare center.

“The communities in western North Dakota have a growing need for quality daycare services” said Steve McNally, Bakken General Manager Hess North Dakota. “Our contribution, along with others in the community, will help provide affordable, safe care for the children of the region.”

With the assistance of Hess, other businesses and the community and county, Killdeer was able to add the infrastructure and facilities to open the daycare.

“The City of Killdeer received funding from the state to increase our daycare services,” said Dawn Marquardt, City Administrator. “The project was really a collaboration of several entities in and around our area working together to meet this demand.”

“We now have the daycare open and equipped inside,” said Marquardt. “The Hess Corporation funding will help us purchase much needed outside play equipment. Being outdoor and having safe equipment to play on is an important part of the daycares daily activities.”

Hess is proud to invest in high impact programs, especially in the areas of education, health, and community development.
