High wind conditions may make travel difficult for high profile vehicles in North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol are advising motorists that extremely high winds are making travel difficult across the state, especially for high-profile vehicles such as semis, trucks, buses and SUV’s.

Motorists are advised to use caution when meeting and passing vehicles as well as driving through strong wind gusts. According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, strong winds of 40 mph gusting to 60 mph will persist throughout North Dakota today.
