Highway 22 accident halts traffic; life flight takes victim

An accident at a truck disposal site south of Manning on Tuesday backed up traffic for nearly an hour-and-a-half and sent one person via air ambulance to a regional hospital.

Dunn County Sheriff deputies responded to the scene on Highway 22, about three miles south of Manning, around 7 p.m.
Deputies stopped traffic on both north and southbound lanes of the highway while emergency crews could respond to the scene.
About 30 minutes later, a life flight helicopter landed and took off with an injured person.
Traffic resumed after crews cleared the scene at around 9 p.m.
A tow truck was then seen towing a damaged Coca-Cola cargo van.
