HOSA blood drive nets 42 units

On May 8, HOSA sponsored the Killdeer Community Blood Drive. United Blood Services was able to collect 42 units of blood. This is the fourth event that has been hosted at the school.

Senior Tommy Hall was asked why he donated blood for the first time, and he responded, “It’s a good thing to do. It saves lives.”

Many of the students realized that this small act can make a huge impact for those in need of blood transfusions.

There were 20 total students that participated, and 16 were first-timers. Seniors that have donated three times while in high school will receive red cords as a graduation honor.
