KILLDEER CROSS COUNTRY

Mandan Kiwanis meet 9-13
Cross Country was in action again last Saturday at the Mandan Kiwanis Classic. All the squads faced some stiff competition with most of the all of the West Region Class A teams and most of the West B teams at the meet. The varsity and JV girls had an excellent day, making some big improvements with many of the kids running lifetime best times. Sydney Andersen and Trae Murray led the way, finishing 17th and 24th. Danielle Benz and Shawnee Hansen both ran great races, with Benz in 33rd and Hansen 42nd. Amber Kukla rounded out thescoring in 67th with Rachel Kisse and Jurnee Murray right behind her. In the JV race, Angel Calkins and Corrie Dobitz both had their best races of the year. The junior girls had a great day, with all of them improving their times from before. Shyanne Oversen was the first across the line this time around, with Tyra Dahlen right on her tail.
The boys ran in the JV division, with Lewis Dobitz leading the way in 49th. Cole Dade ran another strong race and Colby Dukart ran his best race of the season. Garrett Calkins was the lone JH boy competing.
