Killdeer drops game 1 in Roughrider tourney

The Killdeer Cowboys girls basketball team dropped game one of their 38th annual Roughrider Basketball Tournament to the Beulah Miners Tuesday night, by a score of 41 – 37.

Down 18 – 23 at halftime, the Cowboys held the Miners to just 18 points in the second half but couldn’t score enough points to overcome the deficit.

The Cowboys will play Heart River at 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in game two of the tournament.

In other Roughrider games, Watford City defeated Richardton-Taylor 48-38; Hettinger beat New England 50-45; and Bowman County won over Heart River 68 – 48.
