Killdeer FFA Members Attend 85th State FFA Convention

21 FFA members from the Killdeer chapter attended this year’s State convention held in Fargo on the campus of North Dakota State University June 2nd
– 6th. Nearly 2000 FFA members, Advisor, guests and sponsors attended this year’s convention.
Katie McFadden, Chance Lundberg, T.J. Moore and Tanner Rohde served as delegates. FFA members participated in many competitions ranging from advanced agricultural mechanics to Floriculture. Members also attended sessions, dances and listened to motivational speakers. This year, the National FFA advisor, Dr. Steve Brown, attended the convention and spoke to the FFA members.
Convention High lites included: gold awards earned by Lane Gaugler in Floriculture, Leighton Schaper in Advance Agricultural Mechanics ,Matt Stroh in
Horse Evaluation and Jordan Martin in Courtesy Corps.

Stroh, Emery Dobitz and Storm Nies), Floriculture( Lane Gaugler, Megan Praus, Ayana Kovash , Lily McFadden and Kate Fredericks), Horse Evaluation( Matt Stroh, Jordan Martin), Food Science( Tuff Kling, Sean Tuhy, Storm Nies and Dane Larson), Dairy Handler( Shayly Brew), Advanced Agricultural Mechanics (Leighton Schaper and Tanner Rohde), Extemporaneous Speaking( Dane Larson), and in Courtesy Corps( Jordan Martin and Liam McFadden)
