Seniors and their parents were invited to enjoy dinner and to learn more about the financial aid process. The Financial Aid Night featured guest speakers Sandy Klein, Director of Financial Aid for Dickinson State University and Dr. Chip Poland, Department Chair of Agriculture and Technical Sciences at Dickinson State University.

The financial aid process for students begins with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or the FAFSA. This process can be daunting for parents and students at times, because of the difficulty of information required.

Parents and students had the opportunity to ask questions and share past experiences. Information about scholarships was also presented for students.

Parents and students are taking this opportunity to prepare for academic learning beyond the walls of Killdeer High School. Students are busy taking the ACT and Work Keys exams, as well as applying for the many scholarships available to them.

Killdeer School would like to extend our appreciation to Sandy Klein and Dr. Chip Poland for their financial expertise, as well as Deb Knutson for preparing a delicious meal for nearly fifty people.
