BISMARCK — A Killdeer man was criminally charged Friday for taking indecent photographs of children.
Weston Bruce, 28, was charged in Bismarck with a Class C felony, promoting obscenity to minors. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Bismarck Police Detective Scott Betz wrote in an affidavit that a 6-year-old girl told her mother that Bruce, her mother’s boyfriend at the time, took inappropriate photographs of her and a 5-year-old friend in Bismarck.
The girl disclosed during a forensic interview at the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center that Bruce told the girls to take their pants off, so they were wearing only “panties,” and told them to put on special socks. The girl said Bruce then took photographs of the girls, Betz wrote. He wrote that the mother said Bruce had a “sock fetish.”
Betz has not been able to locate Bruce, for whom court documents now list a Killdeer address.
