Killdeer Public Library honored by North Dakota State Library

Adrian Montez took his son to the Killdeer School & Public Library for some quiet time.

He read his son a story and showed him some colorful pictures in a book.

It was a fun time for the two at the library, an experience they will never forget.

The North Dakota State Library awarded the Killdeer School & Public Library the 2017 North Dakota Star Library Award for going above and beyond with the service they provide to their community.

Killdeer Public Library was compared to other libraries in North Dakota with similar operating expenditures.

They ranked in the top three libraries of their category.

The awards were given based on circulation, central branch service hours, program attendance, combined computer and WiFi usage, and the percentage of North Dakota Library Coordinating Council Standards for Public Libraries met.

Librarian Pamela Boepple was presented with the Star Library Award at the Renewal & Development Conference, hosted by the North Dakota State Library, on April 17th, 2017.
