Killdeer volleyball season ends in sweep at Glen Ullin

GLEN ULLIN – The last time the Killdeer High School volleyball team traveled to Glen Ullin, the Bearcats swept the Cowboys.

The second time around was no different. The eighth-seeded Bearcats swept the ninth-seeded Cowboys in the first round of the Region 7 tournament on Nov. 4.

Glen Ullin-Hebron jumped out early and then held off the Cowboys to secure a 20-15, 20-19, 25-23 victory.

The victory earned the Bearcats a date against Region 7 regular season champion Dickinson Trinity in the quarterfinals. The Titans were undefeated in the regular season, including a sweep of Killdeer in the regular season finale.

The Titans swept the Bearcats on Tuesday.

But against the Cowboys, the Bearcats used a balanced attack and a strong service game to secure the victory. Glen Ullin-Hebron recorded 34 kills and 11 aces in the match.
