Killdeer wrestlers compete well at Rugby, Beach

The Killdeer Cowboy Wrestlers traveled to Rugby on January 10 and 11 to participate in the Rugby Panther Booster Invitational Tournament. Killdeer Wrestlers wrestled hard for two days and did well.

Senior David Dukart at 195# defeated Jesse Rodriquez from Turtle Mountain with a score of 3 to 2 to take home a 3rd place trophy. 5th place went to Derek Tabor at 145# by defeating Blake Kearcher PCN with a score of 8 to 4. Tanner Rohde at 132# brought home a 6th place with a fall at 4:12 from Bradley Ladwig of Stanley and David Arthur at 138# received a 6th place from a medical Forfeit after a knee injury.

Bringing home a 8th place was Cole Dukart at 120# ,Daniel Arthur at 160# and Brady Pletan at 170#.

Other Killdeer Cowboy wrestlers that participated in the Tournament were Dylan Tabor at 106#, Zach Binstock at 120# and Dane Larsen at 152#.

The Killdeer Wrestlers also had a Triangular meet on January 14th in Beach. The first Dual against New Salem-Almont ended in a score of Killdeer 36 and New Salem-Almont 27.

Killdeer’s second dual was against the Bowman County Bulldogs and Killdeer was defeated 57 to 18 with the 18 points from open spots and Tanner Rohde, 132# defeating Kamrin Madrigal with a fall time of 1:39 seconds.

Next Duals will be held January 21 and 23 in Killdeer.
