Dunn County Emergency Manager Denise Brew takes Emergency Medical Services seriously.
And that attitude was one of the reasons why Brew was awarded the Siren Award from the North Dakota EMS Association.
Brew was honored on April 8 at an awards banquet of the North Dakota EMS Association. The banquet was to honor members who have went above and beyond in Emergency Medical Services
The Siren Award is given to an individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty, shows tremendous professionalism and a strong dedication to EMS. The nominee must be a member of the North Dakota EMS Association.
Brew is a member of the Killdeer Ambulance Service, where she began as an EMR on the squad and continued to an EMT. She serves on three different services, according to a news release.
According to her nomination form, Brew is always available to help out in any way possible, grant writing, inventorying and redistributing equipment (mobile radios, pagers), presenting training, picking up call time, driving trucks to Bismarck for repairs and jumping in to help out on runs and first responding.
There is nothing that we can’t ask this person to help with and there is nothing that she will not drop to help out.
She recognizes the need for rural services to work together. For these and many more reasons, we are proud to announce the SW Siren award winner is Denise Brew with the Killdeer Ambulance Service.
