LORENE STOHLER, 89, of Beulah, ND, formerly a life-long resident of Dunn Center, ND passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Center City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Lorene was born and raised in Halliday, ND on January 21, 1926 to Emil and Emma (Wolf) Weidner. She attended school through freshman year in Halliday school district. On January 10, 1948, Lorene married her loving husband of 65 years, Oscar Stohler. After taking an extensive cross-country trip, the couple returned to settle down near Dunn Center. Nine years ago they moved to Beulah, and after Oscar passed away in 2013, Lorene moved to Edgewood Vista in Fargo, ND.

Lorene was a buyer for Gamble store in Killdeer, ND for many years. She traveled throughout the Midwest as a professional buyer attending many trade shows. Lorene was an avid gardener, harvesting and preserving produce for the family. She was well known for the delicious food she served to family and ranch hands daily. In her spare time, she crocheted beautiful pieces of handwork. She loved playing cards and dice games with family and friends. Lorene had a special gift of making lasting friends wherever she went. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah.

Lorene is survived by her children, Constance (Jerry Hauble) Stohler, Patricia (Rex) Wenko, Carleen Hart, and Andrew (Marsha) Stohler; nine grandchildren, Christopher Hauble, Joshua Hauble, Noah Hauble, Jennifer (Wenko) Hanley, Jessica (Wenko) Weingartner, Sarah Hart, Joshua Hart, Andrew Stohler and Erin Stohler; nine great-grandchildren, Jake, Madelyn, Piper, Reagan, Ilsa, Jack, Oscar, Alexander and Brycen; and two sisters, Esther Zahnow and Corrine Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar; five sisters, Irene, Elenor, Clara, Agnes and Gertrude; one brother, Harold; and her son-in-law, Jim Hart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Edgewood Vista, 4420 37th Avenue South, Fargo, ND 58104 or Palliative Care at Sanford Medical Center, 1720 University Drive South, Fargo, ND 58122.
