Tommy Smith has been keeping a close eye on the weather forecasts, hoping for warm temperatures.
The Halliday resident doesn’t have anything against Mother Nature or her talents to turn the area into a Winter Wonderland.
But he got a new set of golf clubs for his birthday, and, he’s anxious to try them out.
“Putting in my living room gets a little old after a while,” Smith chuckled, who moved from Arizona. “My brother lives in Phoenix and has been playing for a month now. I can’t wait for the golf course to open.”
He won’t have to wait much longer.
The Medicine Hole Golf Course is scheduled to open at noon today. Officials have been working on the course for weeks eager golfers like Smith through the evening said Medicine Hole Club House Manager James Delaurier.
The regular hours will be from 8 a.m. to dark on Monday-Thursday, and 7 a.m. to dark on Friday-Sunday, Delaurier said.
