Miners stop Cowboys 54 – 39

Hampered by turnovers, the Killdeer Cowboys boys’ basketball team lost 54 – 39 in Class B action last Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Hampered by turnovers, the Killdeer Cowboys boys’ basketball team lost 54 – 39 in Class B action last Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The Cowboys had 27 turnovers in a game that saw the Beulah Miners with 15.

Calum Blankenship had 12 rebounds and Lewis Dobitz had 11. The Cowboys grabbed to total of 39 rebounds to 26 for the Miners, but their rebounding efforts weren’t enough to put the Cowboys on top.

High score for the Cowboys was Calum Blankenship with 15 points, followed by Tuff Kling with nine points. Lewis Dobitz and Alex Sadowsky each added four points, Hayes LeMieux added three points and Trenton Rohr and Bubba Roshau each kicked in two points for the Cowboys.

Alex Sadowsky made the only three-pointer for the Cowboys, who were just 1 – 9 from the three-point line.

The Cowboys were also cold from the free-throw line, making just 4 – 10.
