Students pursuing a graduate degree, high school students preparing for college and undergraduates majoring in agriculture should consider applying for North Dakota Farm Bureau scholarships.
“This is a great opportunity for NDFB to help students financially so they can further their education.” said North Dakota Farm Bureau Director of Development, Joey Tigges.
The scholarships include one for graduate students; one for students enrolled in agriculture majors, a Farm Bureau family scholarship and the Becki Palmer Scholarship, a memorial scholarship for a long-time staff member who passed away from cancer. A new scholarship was added this year, targeting high school seniors who are enrolled in an ag school.
The scholarships are made possible through generous contributions made to the NDFB Foundation. Our main contribution to the foundation scholarship fund is our live auction at the NDBF annual meeting, this year we were able to raise over $5000. Thank you to all that donated items and bought items on the live auction.
To donate to the scholarship fund, please send your tax-deductible contribution to the NDFB Foundation, PO Box 2064, Fargo, N.D. 58107. Please indicate you would like your gift to go to the scholarship fund.
Scholarship applications are available on the Promotion and Education scholarship page at www.ndfb.org/edusafe/scholarships. The applications are due in the NDFB office in Fargo no later than April 15, 2014.
