Netty Radke

Netty A. (Zeigler) Radke, 78, of Mandan, ND formerly of Killdeer, ND died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 10:00 AM MST on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Halliday with Pastor Rachel Simonson officiating.

Burial will follow at Halliday City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CST on Tuesday, January 20 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Netty was born to Fred and Amelia (Faser) Ziegler on November 18, 1936 in Mercer county. Netty and her late husband Robert (Bob) Radke, of Dunn County, North Dakota, began their lives together in 1957 and had two sons Kelly Radke who resides in the Richmond, Virginia area and Scottie Radke who resides in Fargo, North Dakota.

Netty was active in many unique programs. For example she enjoyed quilting with members from her church, donating the finished quilts to the men and women serving in the Middle East during the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Netty was also long term member of the Women of the Moose Chapter located in Mandan where she resided for the past three years.  Netty was an avid reader choosing to read cook books as one of her favorite past times.

She is survived by two sons Kelly (Debra) Radke of Richmond, VA, and Scott Radke of Fargo; two granddaughters, Nicole (Steven) Anderson of Overland Park, KS and Amber Radke of Aylett, VA; and her great-grandson, Blake; seven brothers and sisters, Betty (Gene) Dressler of Beulah, Archie  (Laverne) Ziegler of Dickinson, Larry (Caroline) Ziegler of Bismarck, Margie Kivelvang of Duluth, MN, Joyce Dahms of Iowa, Rick (Thelma) Ziegler of Dallas, TX and Wayne (Karen) Zeigler of San Diego, CA; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy (Elmer) Miller.

Netty is preceded in death by parents, Fred and Amelia Ziegler, one brother Roy Ziegler, and her husband Robert (Bob) Radke.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
