Oil workers are good neighbors

Sometimes the unexpected can make a small gesture even better.

Sometimes the unexpected can make a small gesture even better.

That’s happening southwest of Killdeer on the Nabors Rig B-09.

Mike Karey lives just to the east of the rig. Very close.

Normally, in such a situation, most of us would be somewhat critical of the noise and the workers who are so close to us, but Mike feels differently.

Some of the workers, in their spare time, have been walking the road and nearby ditch banks and picking up trash.

“Our ditch banks are spotless,” Karey said. “I’m very impressed. Those guys are going out of their way to be neighborly.”

A big “Thank You” to the B-09 workers!

  1. Way to go Nabors guys & B09!!! To bad this seems like such a great big deal. Many of “OUR” guys go above and beyond and don’t get the recognition they deserve!!!

    1. I agree completely Kelly, there are a lot of good people doing a lot of good things. Most of the time no one ever hears of it. I hope to be able to mention some of those people as often as possible in the Dunn County Herald. It’s not the reason people do good things, but it’s nice to be able to give them a “thank you” when they do.
