Bowman County doubles down on Cowboys, 73-51

Bowman County jumped out to an early lead Friday (Jan. 25) in Killdeer and never looked back in an easy 73-58 victory over the Cowboys.
The visiting Bulldogs had a 22-13 lead after one quarter and expanded it to 48-24 by halftime.
The Cowboys found themselves in double trouble with Caleb Duffield and Jacob Svihovec hammering them for 21 points – each. The Bowman County pair were responsible for 42 points alone in the contest.
Duffield alone had five of the Bulldogs’ nine three-pointers. The visitors held the edge two-point baskets (16-10), three-point baskets (9-8) and free throws made (14-7) in the Region 7 battle.
The win improved Bowman County’s season record to 8-5 and gave the Bulldogs its first Region 7 win (1-3).
For the Cowboys, the loss kept the team winless, both for the season (0-13) and in Region 7 play (0-5).
After Duffield and Svihovec, the Bulldogs were led in scoring by Matt Osendorf with eight points. Jordan Powell hit for five points, while Brady Senn and Brian Anaya each added four points.
The Cowboys were led by Daylon Danks in scoring with 14 points, while Kacen Gartner and Jamie Keller each added 11 points. Zeek Diaz scored six points, with Tyler Hansen adding four, Kostner Benz-Weber putting in three and Keith Dukart adding two.
