Ice, snow cause Killdeer accident

Icy conditions and a jackknifed truck ended up with three vehicles damaged Friday January 18th in an accident in downtown Killdeer.

A truck driven by Jose Montoya Prieto of Dickinson was southbound on Highway 22 (Central Avenue) in Killdeer and had problems with the icy roadway. In order to avoid a collision with the southbound vehicle, a northbound tractor-trailer was forced to brake.

The flatbed truck avoided a collision on the icy road just past Railroad Avenue, but in doing so, slid into two parked cars.

One of the parked vehicles, a 2014 Nissan Altima, received major damage and had to be towed. The second parked vehicle, a Dodge pickup had minor damage.
