Killdeer climbs into sixth in volleyball standings

After a slow start, the Killdeer volleyball team has climbed into sixth place in the Region 7 standings.
Bowman County (80-0) and Hettinger-Scranton (6-0) are still unbeaten and atop the standings.
Heart River and Dickinson Trinity are in third and fourth, just a half-game apart.
As of Wednesday (Oct. 16), Beulah was two games ahead of Killdeer (3-4) with a 6-2 record.
The two teams will meet Oct. 22 in a Region 7 showdown in Killdeer.
The Cowboys started their win streak with a 3-2 win over Glen Ullin/Hebron at home, then added victories over Beach (3-1) and over Hazen (3-2) on the road (Oct. 10).
The team also dropped a 3-0 decision to Heart River.
The Cowboys will be hosting Hettinger-Scranton in a 6:30 p.m. contest against the Night Hawks.
Killdeer will then follow with a road trip Oct. 28 to the Mott Armory to play the Wildfire in a 6:30 p.m. contest.
The Cowboys will return home to battle Alexander Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m., then host visiting Garrison in a 6:30 p.m. contest on Nov. 1in the Killdeer gym.
