Killdeer closes regular season with Trinity loss

The Killdeer Cowboys closed out the regular season Tuesday in Dickinson with a 3-0 loss to the Titans.
The hosts won the first set 25-6, the second set by a 25-15 margin, and closed out the contest, 25-9 .
The loss dropped Killdeer to seventh in the final standings with a 4-7 record – tied with Hazen.
The Cowboys finished two games behind New England in the standings.
Hettinger-Stanton won the regional crown with an undefeated 11-0 record, while Heart River was next with a 10-2 record.
The Trinity victory over the Cowboys assured the Titans of a third-place finish.
Beulah and Bowman County tied for fourth with identical 8-3 records.
Beach finished with a 3-8 record, while both Glen Ullin/Hebron and Richardton-Taylor finished with identical 2-9 records.
Mott-Regent finished the regional play winless with an 0-11 record. The Wildfire also was winless for the season with an 0-17 record.
