Killdeer FFA competes in Winter Contest

On March 2nd, members of the Killdeer FFA Chapter competed at the Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Winter Contest.

It was another successful day for the members both individually and for the teams.

Livestock Judging

The Killdeer FFA Livestock Judging Team, (L to R) Iris Dukart, Ian Dukart, Shadera Burian and Jaylynn Hicks, won a third place gold award at the Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Winter Contest on March 2. – Submitted photos

The Livestock Judging Team earned a third Place Gold Award.

Individually, Jaylynn Hicks earned an eighth place gold award; Shadera Burian- silver award; Iris Dukart- bronze award; Ian Dukart- bronze award.

Ag Sales

The Ag Sales team from the Killdeer Chapter of the FFA placed eighth in the the Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Winter Contest on March 2. The team included Faith Norby, Cody Simmons, Weston LaPierre and Ean Larsen. – Submitted Photo

The Ag. Sales Team earned an eighth place Bronze finish.

Individually, Faith Norby earned a gold award. Others competing were Ean Larsen, Weston LaPierre, and Cody Simmons. These individuals all earned personal bests.


Danielle Dobitz

There was one individual competing in the Agronomy CDE.

Danielle Dobitz gained some more valuable experience and earned personal bests in all aspects of the contest!
