Local bank helps K-9 drive with donation

The funds for acquiring and training a new K-9 for the Dunn County Sheriff Office went up with the recent donation from the American Bank Center office in Killdeer.

The law enforcement agency announced recently the would be seeking $18,000 in donations from the public to acquire and properly train a canine for use in the field, along with being a part of their community outreach program.
According to a company spokesman, as part of Casual Fridays for a Cause, American in Killdeer donated its jeans day contributions to the Dunn County Sherriff’s Department. The Dunn County Sherriff’s Department plans to use the funds towards getting a K-9 dog unit.
