Killdeer Girl Scouts Troop 85112 (Juniors) and Girl Scout Troop 85122 (Brownies and Daisies) collected a $250 check from Bob Brew of the Killdeer Masonic Lodge #112 on May 6 at the Killdeer Aquatic Center.
The money was raised by the Masons as part of a annual event where the lodge collects deer hides each fall.
“We have a drop-off site in town where people can drop off the hides (during deer season). We average 50 to 60 hides a year. All that is bought and the money goes to organizations. The Grand Lodge of North Dakota will match any donation we make,” Brew explained.
