The Dunn County Sheriff brought three deputies with him Jan. 29 to help serve lunch at Halliday School.
According to Sheriff Gary Kuhn, the visit is part of a plan to go to local schools at least twice a month in an effort to become more involved with the communities the department serves in Dunn County.
The DCSO plans on being in the schools more often so that the kids and the staff can get a chance to interact and engage with their Sheriff’s office, according to a department spokesman.
Sheriff Kuhn also said he has hopes to expand the program to involve other communities in addition to Killdeer and Halliday.
According to Kuhn, the students at Halliday enjoyed the visit where the deputies served them lunch and then sat down to eat with them.
The sheriff was joined at the school by Chief Deputy Mike Brost, along with Dep. Fred Whittingham and Dep. Tim Sul.
