Killdeer traveled to play Shiloh Christian Sept. 20, but the Cowboys were unable to ground the high-flying Skyhawks.
The hosts ran up a 38-13 win over the visitors from Dunn County.
The win kept the Skyhawks atop the Region 4 standings with a 4-0 record and keeping up with Bowman County (4-0) in the battle for the playoffs and the regional crown.
The Cowboys scored twice, one of three teams to reach double digits against the Skyhawks.
The Killdeer squad will be traveling to New Salem Friday to play the Holsteins (3-1).
Both teams lost recently to the Skyhawks, but the Holsteins only scored once against Shiloh Christian when they played the week before.
Whereas, the Cowboys were able to put 13 points on the scoreboard.
The Holsteins are a new addition to the Region 4, in addition to Shiloh Christian and Richardton-Taylor.
