The clock is ticking on the 2019 Killdeer Cowboys when it comes to football.
Having started official practices on Aug. 12 at the Killdeer Sports Complex, the new version of the Cowboys will have until Aug. 23 before they take the field in Stanley for a scrimmage against the AA Division Blue Jays.
Then the team will get a break from road trips for most of the month.
The Cowboys will host Hazen Aug. 30, Southern McLean Sept. 6 and Heart River on Sept. 20.
